What is AMD EXPO?

AMD EXPO™ (AMD Extended Profiles for Overclocking) Technology was developed to enable users to easily overclock memory. Developed for Ryzen 7000 and later processors using the AM5 socket, this technology allows users to easily overclock DDR5 memory with memory profiles optimized for AMD Ryzen.

AMD EXPO Approved

AMD EXPO Compatibility List

For users looking to overclock, AMD has worked with memory manufacturers to create an AMD Ryzen™ processor overclocking memory compatibility list . The RAM solutions on this list have been tested by the memory manufacturer on different systems and have been confirmed to operate at the specified speeds and latencies.

How It Works

Just like Intel XMP technology , AMD EXPO also ensures that the memory reaches the desired values quickly. Profile settings approved for the platform used are stored in each RAM module.

AMD EXPO Label

If the saved profile settings are available in the BIOS or motherboard firmware, the profile with the desired speed and latency value is selected from the profile list in the operating system. The instructions on the screen are followed. The system may need to be restarted. Information should be obtained from the motherboard or system manufacturer to check if there is a motherboard or system application.

Our users looking for AMD EXPO memory solutions developed for their existing or newly purchased AMD systems can also find fully compatible Kingston AMD EXPO RAM solutions by using the Memory Search Engine offered on our website in cooperation with Kingston .

Attention to Our Users

Changing the frequency and/or voltage of computer components such as RAM and CPU:

  • It may reduce system stability and usage time of the system, memory and processor.
  • It may cause the processor and other system components to fail.
  • It may cause system performance to decrease.
  • It may cause high temperature or other damage.
  • It may affect the data integrity of the system.

AMD product warranty does not cover damage caused by overclocking, even if overclocking is enabled via AMD hardware and/or software. For more information, visit https://www.amd.com/en/legal/claims/gaming-details.html.
